Podgorica has always taken its coffee seriously — locals joke that it's the city's favorite hobby, and whole afternoons can disappear over a single espresso and good company. We built Mali Trg in that spirit: no rush, no fuss — just a good seat, a fair price, and hospitality that makes a second visit feel like a regular's.
A little about Podgorica
Podgorica sits where the Ribnica river meets the Morača — a spot people have settled for centuries, long before it became Montenegro's capital. The old quarter, Stara Varoš, still keeps its narrow stone streets and the 17th-century clock tower, one of the few buildings to outlast the wars that flattened most of what once stood around it.
It's also the only European capital just an hour from the sea, which says a lot about the pace of life here — unhurried, sociable, and built around long tables and even longer coffees.
